Höhenfreibad Bad Urach
The “Höhenfreibad Bad Urach“ (open air bath) is splendid located, sheltered by the mighty ruin of the castle Hohenurach with a wonderful view to the “Städle” (little village) and far away to the Ermstal. It's one of the most beautiful valleys in the swabian alb, surrounded by a lime-rock and shady forests. Regeneration and fun inside the water in the midst of a picturesque landscape above the Ermstal in the heart of the swabian alb.

Uracher Schäferlauf (Shepherd-Run in Urach)
There are traditional festivals in nearly every city that are usually organised by associations. In the following, there is a choice of festivals of superregional importance: Once it has been the “Zunftfest der Albschäfer” (since 1723), it is now one of the biggest and most gorgeous, historical festivals in the swabian alb. In the years with odd dates it takes place at a weekend around Jakobi (26.07.2009)

Residenzschloss Urach
Former residence of the earl of Württemberg-Urach and hunting residence of the dukes of Württemberg. Hohenurach
Found by the Earls of Urach in the 11th century, extended to a fort in the 16th century by the Dukes of Würtemmberg. Ruin since 1765.
Open to the public.

Hohenwittlingen
Constructed about 1090. The castle above the Ermstal came into the property of the Earls of Würtemmberg in the 13th century. It burnt down in 1576 and served as a prison and shelter until it was reconstructed in the 18th century.
